Envision II Construction Works and Services is the  framework agreement for the delivery of the Coal Authority's environmental projects portfolio.

The contract covers the construction of minewater treatment schemes and other engineering projects including the enhancement and upgrade of existing infrastructure. J N Bentley will work with the Authority’s Minewater team to help deliver the Minewater Treatment Programme.

The number of new build schemes constructed each year will vary and be dependent upon the Authority’s allocated budget but typically involve constructing between 4 and 7 schemes a year at an average cost per scheme of £1 million.

The four year contract has a two year extension option. Minewater treatment schemes usually comprise reinforced concrete aeration cascades, lined earth settlement lagoons and reedbeds with associated interconnecting channels, pipes, fencing and landscaping works. Some schemes also require the installation of pumping facilities and occasionally chemical dosing arrangements.

The contract will also be available for use by other UK Public Bodies including Central Government Departments, their agencies, NDPB's, NHS bodies and Public Authorities for similar types of works and services.
