South West Water (SWW) has awarded May Gurney a new framework for Mechanical and Electrical Services to support the maintenance and refurbishment of its assets across South West England.
Richard Dean, May Gurney's Chief Operating Officer, says: "We are committed to supporting SWW and helping them deliver their maintenance and investment needs both now and in the future. We have a strong MEICA team in the region and it's good to see them continue their relationship for the long term."
The initial three-year contract runs from October 2007 to 2010 with a further two-year extension subject to performance. It is anticipated to be worth between £3-5m per annum with a diverse range of MEICA projects undertaken, including support to SWW's main capital partners through collaborative working.
Richard Dean adds: "The framework also allows for reactive and emergency M&E repairs as part of a 24-hour emergency call out service. We will also provide skilled mechanical and electrical fitters directly to SWW to support and supplement their in-house maintenance teams."
Albion Chemicals, the UK and Ireland’s leading chemicals distributor, has agreed an exclusive working partnership with Arch Water Products to present Calcium Hypochlorite to the UK water utilities market.
The measurement and control of Free Chlorine has never been easier than with the new FCA-22 Analyzer System from Electro-Chemical Devices, Inc., which features a virtually plumb-and-play design.
