New Chemineer gearbox has true integrity
Friday, 26 June 2009

Chemineer’s new Model 20 HT/GT gearbox has been designed specifically for agitator duties, giving it a far greater lifetime than general purpose gear drives used in water/wastewater and biofuel applications.

Also benefitting from lower maintenance costs, this rugged gearbox also features an oversized output shaft to reduce gear deflection and noise, as well as a true dry-well seal to prevent the risk of lubricant leaking down the shaft.

ImageUnlike typical commercial gearboxes that usually have smaller output shafts leading to higher gear deflections, more noise and lower reliability, Chemineer’s new gearbox is made for optimum mechanical integrity.  And by not using smaller shaft diameters associated with most gearboxes, the need to select larger and more expensive units to handle the bending moments associated with overhung loads is also eliminated.

Available in right angle (HT) and parallel shaft (GT) configurations, the new gearbox-enhanced Chemineer agitators can be tailored to meet virtually any process, from critical chemical reactor systems to storage applications.
