This week sees the launch of 'Innovating for a better environment,’ a Highways and Utilities Innovations Day which takes place in Longbridge, Warwickshire on Wednesday.
The day has been organised in collaboration with the West Midlands Highways and Utilities Committee (HAUC), Severn Trent Water and Enterprise.
The day showcases a number of industry-leading technologies and processes, through a series of live demonstrations and practical examples scheduled throughout the day. The innovations are intended to help contribute to meeting the requirements of both central and local government agendas.
Topics to be covered include sustainability, reducing carbon consumption and minimising site disruption, safe application of traffic management and the surveying of underground assets. Structured demonstrations will be taking place at set intervals throughout the day.
