Climping flood defence maintenance funding to be withdrawn

The Environment Agency is proposing to withdraw flood defence maintenance at Climping two years after its draft flood risk management strategy has been approved - due in summer 2011. The Agency said that maintaining the defences at Climping with Government funding could not be economically justified.
