Ofwat appoints Competition Reform Programme Director

Ofwat has announced the appointment of Simon Less as Competition Reform Programme Director. Mr. Less has been on secondment to Ofwat from the Treasury since late last year and has been leading Ofwat’s review of competition. Immediately before joining Ofwat, he led the Treasury's Competition and Economic Regulation team.
The Competition Reform Programme takes forward the conclusions of the competition review (published on 16 May 2008), and falls within the new Markets Division headed up by Director of Markets, Cathryn Ross. The programme covers a number of new teams, including:
