Yorkshire Water awards AMP5 reservoirs framework to Mott MacDonald Bentley
Wednesday, 06 January 2010

Yorkshire Water has awarded its £60 million AMP5 framework contract for reservoir related works to a Mott MacDonald Bentley (MMB) joint venture.

The contract will include works on raw water impounding reservoirs, raw water storage and treated water storage reservoirs.  It also covers associated aqueducts and connections the Yorkshire Water water network.

The joint venture between Mott MacDonald and contractor JN Bentley under the agreement will carry out the works until the end of the AMP5 period in 2015. JN Bentley has a 75% share in the joint venture.

In March 2009 Severn Trent Water announced the appointment of  MMB to its Non-infrastructure framework and to its select tender list for sewerage schemes. MMB was also appointed as one of Scottish Water’s Construction Delivery Partners for both their Infrastructure and Non-infrastructure frameworks.

MMB is also currently still going through the final stages of bidding for some of Yorkshire Water’s other work streams.
