Able Humber Ports Ltd has gone out to tender with a £165 million contract for quay construction work on the Able Marine Energy Park.
Work Pack 1 at the Able Marine Energy Park covers the construction of the main quay works, involving the construction of circa 1 279 m of new quay and associated surface water pumping station.
Estimated total value of the contract is £165 million.
The company plans to progress detailed design through the appointment of a design consultant, including the discharge of all design dependent pre-commencement Development Consent Order conditions. The design consultant will be tasked with developing the design to a level sufficient to permit the company to engage with pre-qualified bidders in a tender process.
The Invitation to Tender for the Construction Contract is likely to be issued Q3/Q4 2016.
Able Humber Ports Ltd may also opt to issue a tender for the Design & Build of the quay which will identify the appointed design consultant to be novated into the proposed D&B contract.
Estimated duration of the contract or time limit for completion is 27 months from the award of contract.
Time limit for receipt of tenders or requests to participate is 1pm on 4th November. All expressions of interest must be received by that date and all interested parties will be required to obtain, complete and return the PQQ by 1pm the following day.
