Scottish Water has gone out to tender with a contract for the supply of electrical and mechanical consumables to support the ongoing maintenance of its assets worth an estimated £20 million.
The water company is looking to appoint up to 6 suppliers for each of its 8 regions. The contract will be split into Lots with a single or multiple framework suppliers awarded per Lot which be split into the following Scottish Water delivery areas: Ness, Don, Tay, Tweed, Nith , Ayr, Clyde and Forth regions.
Requirements under the contract include bearings, belts, gearbox spares, sprockets, motor spares, seals, pneumatic products, hoses, valves and all consumables related to the mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance services of Scottish Water's assets.
The framework agreement will be awarded for 4 years, with the option to extend for a further period of up to 4 years (4 x 1 year extension options)
Time limit for receipt of tenders or requests to participate is 22nd June 2016 - estimated date of dispatch of invitations to tender or to participate to selected candidates is 1th August 2016.
