Scottish Water tenders £110m WwTW construction contract

Scottish Water has gone out to tender with a contract for a lead construction partner to work on two schemes at its Daldowie and Dalmarnock Wastewater treatmernt works worth an estimated £110 million.

The water company is looking to appoint a supplier to work on the following schemes:

1 The design, construction, delivery and commissioning of the engineering elements of a Tertiary Chemical Dosing plant for the purposes of achieving the Urban Waste Water Treatment Directive total phosphorus discharge requirement of 1mg/l.

2 The design, construction, delivery and commissioning of the engineering elements of a Granular Activated Sludge Plant for the purposes of achieving the Urban Waste Water Treatment Directive total phosphorus discharge requirement of 1mg/l.

The opportunity is divided into lots to provide opportunity and flexibility of approach – however Scottish Water’s preference is to award both lots to a single bidder.

The water company is presently determining the treatment process to be adopted and the process provider will be named as as nominated or novated as sub-Contractor to the lead construction partner.
