NI Water awards Professional Services Contract for Dungannon WwTW upgrade

Northern Ireland Water has awarded a Professional Services Contract for construction project management services on the proposed upgrade for its Dungannon Wastewater Treatment Works to Belfast-based firm McAdam Design Ltd.

The works  is located at Moygashel, on the outskirts of Dungannon, Co. Tyrone, Northern Ireland. The current works receives a PE loading of 78942 for a PE flow of approximately 45000. The current works was designed to cater for a PE of 60000 and was completed in the early 1990s.

Northern Ireland Water is required to provide a replacement or upgraded Wastewater Treatment Works to serve the existing catchment as part of its PC15 Business Plan 2015-21.

McAdam, who have been appointed as the sole Economic Operator to the contract, will be required to manage delivery of the planning, enabling works, detailed design, construction, testing, commissioning and handover for the services under the Professional Services Contract.
