Network Rail tenders £24.5m water and wastewater retail services contract

Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd has gone out to tender with a contract for the supply of water and wastewater retail services to its sites in Scotland and England worth an estimated £24.5 million.

Network Rail is looking to set up framework contracts with suitably experienced suppliers for its sites in Scotland and England respectively. The contract is being tendered in 2 Lots - Lot 1 for Scotland is worth £4.5 million while Lot 2 for England is worth £20 million.

Network Rail intends to appoint a maximum of two suppliers to the framework agreement, which will run for five years. The rail operator first issued a Periodic indicative notice at the end of November last year inviting organisations to respond to the PIN ahead of retail market opening in April 17 who had either aready obtained the relevant licenses or were planning to have them in place in advance of market opening.
