Kent County Council has published details of framework contract awards for water and sewerage services potentially worth up to £208 million on behalf of a number of public sector organisations.

The Council’s Commercial Services is one of the largest trading organisations of its kind in the UK.

 KCC’s LASER was established as part was established as part of Commercial Services in 1989, in response to the increasing competitiveness of the deregulated energy markets and now provides complete energy solutions to 160 Local Authorities and other Public Sector bodies throughout the UK.

Kent County Council, the Contracting Authority, is the largest local authority in England covering an area of 3 500 square kilometres. The Council operates in partnership with 12 district councils and 289 parish/town councils.

Eight companies were in the bidding for the contract, which was tendered in Lots in March this year,
