Natural Resources Wales to hold supplier engagement drop in event

Natural Resources Wales is holding a Supplier Engagement drop in event, which is free to attend, for its forthcoming Asset Maintenance Framework (AMF2) South Wales.

Works required under the AMF2 framework relate to river, reservoir and flood defence maintenance, repair or improvements, including:-

  • minor works and recurring repair and maintenance of flood defences
  • hydrometry and telemetry sites
  • weir improvements
  • penstocks
  • gravel removal
  • river restoration services
  • channel re-profiling and specialist vegetation management.

The framework does not cover fencing, consultancy services, or construction/labour intensive civil engineering services.

There will be no set agenda at the ‘drop-in’ event, which takes place from 10.30am to 3pm on 16th November in Neath. However, suppliers will be expected to register on arrival, and information on the AMF2 framework will be available. There will also be an opportunity for informal discussion with Business Wales and NRW representatives to discuss the project requirements and to learn about the assistance available.
