Yorkshire Water tenders £300m civils framework contract

Yorkshire Water has gone out tender with a major civils framework contract covering all civil engineering based activity worth an estimated £300 million in total.

The water company is looking to establish a dual lot, multi supplier framework to service its requirement for civil works which would not be completed by its Tier 1 partners across the whole of the Yorkshire Water estate.

The contract is divided into two Lots each valued at £150 million.

Lot 1 Civils Projects, covers civil and structural engineering construction and refurbishment works on selected above or below ground assets on operational treatment, collection or distribution facilities and will include direct utilisation of YW tier 2 framework partners.

The scope of services includes

  • Temporary and preparatory works
  • Provision of plant, materials, labour, supervision
  • Supplier / sub-contractor management
  • Construction and commissioning
  • Asset data collection, management and submission

Lot 2 Minor Civils covers minor building works associated with above or below ground assets on operational treatment, collection or distribution facilities involving structures as one off projects.

Initial contract term for both Lots is 5 years with a further 3 year extension option. Yorksire Water is reserving the right to award contracts combining Lot 1 Civils Projects and Lot 2 Minor Civils.
