Southern Water tenders apprenticeship education and training services contract

Southern Water has gone out to tender with a contract to provide education and training services for its Trailblazer Utilities Engineering Technician Apprenticeship scheme.

The Trailblazer utilities engineering technician apprenticeship programme will be run in conjunction with the water company for a minimum of 2 cohorts each consisting of 10 Apprentices. The programme will be run in the south-east of England.

The scope of services required under the contract includes:

  • A residential programme for the first year of the Apprenticeship including pastoral care, 3 meals per day, access control and fully secured lodgings manned 7-days a week, 365-days per year
  • Travel to and from accommodation and place of training
  • Certified qualification delivery (NVQ, BTec etc.)
  • Specialised training

The contract will run for an initial period of 6 years with an option to extend by a further 4 years.

The successful supplier will be required to deliver all training requirements  including all eligibility checking, enrolling, registering, funding acquisition, assessing, verification and reporting,

Estimated start date for the programme is 3rd September 2018, ending on 2nd September 2024.
