North Midland Construction Plc (NM Group) has successfully secured the Civil Engineering Capital works framework for the upcoming 2020-25 AMP7 investment period with South West Water
The AMP7 framework will move to a design and build arrangement for all major capital schemes and see NM Group initially working alongside Balfour Beatty and Interserve as they complete a small number of legacy projects by March 2020.
The new contract builds on NM Group’s existing excellent long-term relationship with SWW.
The scope includes the provision of civil engineering works, building works and incidental mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, controls and automation works in connection with the construction, extension, refurbishment, alteration and/or demolition of the low groundwater and sewerage infrastructure within the South West Water catchment area.
South West Water’s engineering delivery alliance, H5O, is also joined by Nomenca Ltd, a subsidiary of NM Group, which along with Kier, Northavon and Tecker is responsible for the design and construction of all MEICA aspects of the capital programme and support operations on a reactive basis.
Managing Director for Nomenca Limited, Andy Langman, commented:
“This is a fantastic opportunity for the Group and our South West business. It not only builds on our recent MEICA Framework award but provides a strong platform for future growth and long-term sustainability in the South West region.”
