Severn Trent Water has gone out to tender with a contract for civil engineering support services during the upcoming AMP7 2020-25 investment period worth an estimated £48 million.
The contract covers provision of Civils Services to Severn Trent and sister company Hafren Dyfrdwy on both water and waste sites and assets. Types of works covered under the contract include:
- footpath repairs/reinstatements
- access road repairs
- wet well/valve chamber cover replacements
- reactive call out and response to bursts/leaks
- leakage detection
- sewer and ducting survey and tracing
The water company is seeking to put a framework agreement in place for one or more suppliers.
The framework is being tendered under 8 separate Lots on a regional basis – Lots 1 to 6 are as follows:
Lot 1 – Derby & Leicestershire
Lot 2 - Nottinghamshire
Lot 3 – Warwickshire & Central
Lot 4 - Staffordshire
Lot 5 – Shropshire, Powys & Cheshire
Lot 6 - Worcestershire & Gloucestershire
Duration of the framework will be for a maximum of 8 years - an initial award of 3 years with further extension options. Anticipated start date is 31st July 2020.
