New aeration growth schemes are typically delivered by Thames Water’s alliance partners - the service provider will be expected to work collaboratively with them to deliver the most efficient and cost effective technical solutions.

Lot 2 covers replacement FBMDs, aeration pipework, parts and equipment, together with the installation and commissioning of the replacement equipment supplied. Where necessary, the suppliers will also be required to undertake re-design works in order to improve and maximise the efficiency of the existing aeration installation.

Lot 3 covers the provision of technical labour for the installation and commissioning of parts and equipment supplied under Lots 1 and 2. The work is primarily required to support the water company’s programme of replacement projects delivered by its maintenance project teams, together with ad-hoc requirements for small repairs or modifications at Thames’ waste water sites. Under the contract, the suppliers will work collaboratively with the service providers on Lots 1 and 2 in order to deliver a joined up approach for the delivery of all projects.

In addition, the service provider may also be required to work with the utility’s alliance partners for the delivery of new aeration growth schemes .

Five firms have all won contracts under the framework:

Lot 1: ATAC Solutions Ltd, FLI Water Ltd, Suprafilt Ltd, Xylem Water Solutions UK Ltd

Lot 2: FLI Water Ltd, Moffat Engineering Ltd, Xylem Water Solutions UK Ltd

Lot 3: FLI Water Ltd, Moffat Engineering Ltd

The contracts have been awarded for an initial three year term of 36 months, with further extension options of up to 5 years in total.
