Both companies are looking to establish a qualification system for the provision of build only works by a civil-led contractor in respect of capital, renewal and refurbishment projects across the AMP7 period.

The companies will undertake the detailed design of the projects - scope of works will include the renewal of water distribution mains and the associated service pipes feeding domestic and commercial properties. Severn Trent and Hafren Dyfrdwy envisage that the type of work will be individual projects under £100,000 and suitable for small and medium-sized enterprises.

The qualification system will start on 29th June 2020 and conclude on 31st March 2025.

Conditions of qualification are outlined in a pre-qualifying questionnaire and within the procurement documents.
