Dwr Cymru Welsh Water has awarded a contract for service reservoir cleaning, maintenance and refurbishment across Wales worth an estimated £17.5 million.

Humberside-headquartered firm Stonbury Ltd have been awarded the contract, which will see the contractor carry out the following work for the utility across its North West, North East, South West, and South East and Mid Wales regions.

• inspection and cleaning of service reservoirs
• minor repair works to service reservoirs
• planned repair and refurbishment of service reservoir assets and associated structures delivered through Welsh Water’s Capital Delivery team and partners.

Initial contract term is three years with options to extend for a further 4 years.
