Yorkshire Water has gone out to tender with an AMP7 contract for the hire, repair and maintenance of standby generators and Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) worth an estimated £8 million.

The contract covers the supply, maintenance/repair and hire of generator sets, ups, diesel pumps and associated equipment across Yorkshire Water’s region of supply.
Scope of services includes:
- proactive service and maintenance of generator sets, UPS and diesel pumps as per issued schedule of planned works (including inspection of fuel storage and maintenance of Low Voltage Circuit Breakers);
- reactive repairs to any generator assets;
- hire of standby generators and associated equipment;
- out of hours availability and emergency callout;
- refuelling;
- supply of new generators
The framework agreement will run for a 3-year initial term with the potential to extend for up to an additional 3 years.
