Northumbrian Water has awarded AMP7 contracts for the supply of PE pipes and fittings for potable water to two suppliers.

Products covered under the contract include standard and factory sealed MDPE and HDPE pipes, PE barrier pipes for use in contaminated land and various fittings including bends, tees and reducers.

The contract was tendered in three separate Lots:

• Lot 1 Standard PE Pipes and Fittings
• Lot 2 Factory Sealed PE Pipes
• Lot 3 PE Barrier Pipes and Associated Fittings

Glynwed Pipe Systems Ltd has been awarded contracts for Lots 1 and 2, with Radius Systems Ltd awarded a contract for Lot 3.

No details have been made available about contract value, which was tendered via the Achilles UVDB utilities qualification system.
