United Utilities has awarded an AMP7 contract for electricity meters at around 3855 of the company’s sites with an estimated total value of £2.5 million.

The contract covers services for the installation, rental, maintenance and operation of approximately 4000 electricity meters. The meters include fiscal electrical import and export meters - the majority of which are located on the water company's water and wastewater treatment works, network operations and administration/facilities sites.

Initial contract term is 5 years with optional 1 year extensions up to a maximum 10-year term.

United Utilities has awarded a contract to Horley-based energy specialists Stark Software International Ltd.

The company processes over 18 percent of the UK’s daily electricity data and monitors nearly 250,000 sites worldwide - its energy infrastructure, data and analytics span all utilities. Stark also counts Severn Trent Water amongst its clients.
