Scape Procure Scotland Ltd (SCAPE) has gone out to tender with a contract for civil engineering and infrastructure works and services worth an estimated £750 million.

SCAPE is looking to establish a framework agreement for an initial four year duration with an option to extend for a further two years.
SCAPE is inviting applications from experienced suppliers to apply for civil engineering and infrastructure works and services, including applications from consortia and joint ventures.
The procurement specialist intends to invite a maximum of five bidders to ITT stage, with the aim of appointing a single supplier to the framework, which will be accessible for use by a number of public sector bodies.
Scope of the wide-ranging framework includes:
- Site preparation work
- Test drilling and boring work
- Works for complete or part construction and civil engineering work
- Engineering works and construction works
- Construction work for water projects
- Engineering services
- Urban planning and landscape architectural services
- Consulting services for water-supply and waste consultancy
The works will comprise all types of civil engineering and infrastructure works and associated services, including design and other services as required to design, develop and realise the works.
Projects will cover a range of sectors, including roads, highways, rail, coastal and flood protection, mechanical and electrical engineering, ground investigation, defence and nuclear.
The tender notice says SCAPE recognises the considerable investment in infrastructure, equipment and people, process and systems required to create and manage the expert, local and responsive supply chains to operate the framework.
