Yorkshire Water has gone out to tender with an AMP7 contract for a unified endpoint protection system integrator worth an estimated £5 million.

Yorkshire Water is looking for an Endpoint protection and Security Service Edge (SSE) systems integrator who resells Endpoint Security and SSE. The Systems Integrator will be required to have strong capabilities and experience with delivering Security Service edge (SSE) cloud services as part of a unified solution incorporating agent-based and agentless endpoint protection services.
At this stage in the process, the water company says it wants to consider the widest variety of options.
The primary platform for its users have been Windows, together with Linus, macOS and iOS – Yorkshire Water has recently also started to implement its strategic direction to cloud.
Increasing reliance on mobile devices and the integration of OT and IoT has led the utility to implement a security strategy and infrastructure strategy necessitating endpoint protection solutions which align with a zero-trust approach.
The required services are to complete the staged migration of Yorkshire Water’s Endpoint protection services and systems, and on-going maintenance of the newly implemented solution.
The suppliers appointed to the contract may also be required to deliver other services, including:
- project management
- business change management
- process design
- requirements analysis
- solution design
- technical advice and planning
- quality control
- design assurance
- system integration
The successful Systems Integrator will deliver a capability that supports YW strategic Endpoint security architecture, along with coverage and capabilities to meet both present and future demands.
This includes a unified endpoint protection solution for mobile devices, laptops, desktops, servers, virtual machines, BYoD, OT, IoT, SaaS and integration with public cloud security.
Initial contract term is three years with two further annual extension options - total estimated value over the five years is £5,000,000.
Time limit for receipt of tenders or requests to participate is 17th June 2022 – click here to access the tender documentation.
