Severn Trent Water has gone out to tender on behalf of itself and sister company Hafren Dyfrdwy Cyfyngedig with a contract for Fat, Oil and Grease (FOG) reduction management services worth an estimated £4.8 million.

 The utilities are looking for a FOG reduction services supplier for the following:

1. Commercial Field Visits: a network of field operatives with water industry experience to visit FSEs (Food Service Establishments) to encourage FSEs install fat traps to catch and divert FOG from entering the network.
2. Recharge and litigation case Management: cost recovery services where repeated offenders are recharged the costs of cleaning the sewers. Prosecution document preparation for non-payers.
3. Domestic Field visits: a network of field operatives to visit domestic properties in regions impacted by FOG incidents.
4. Administrative support services: the necessary support services namely customer account management, field management, fleet management and training

Initial contract term is is 3 years with up to 4 years in further renewal options.
