Dover Harbour Board launches market engagement for £400 million project delivery at Port of Dover

The Dover Harbour Board has launched a market engagement exercise ahead of going out to tender in 2025 with a £400 million contract for project delivery at the Port of Dover.

The Board has issued a Prior Information Notice advising prospective tenderers of the Port of Dover’s intention to hold a market engagement event where there will be an opportunity to discuss its plans and consult with parties interested in potentially bidding to deliver the programmes.

The works will comprise of 8 lots across 4 disciplines and varying in value ranging from £100,000 to £3,000,000 and over £3,000,000. The disciplines are:

  • Highways, Civils and Structures
  • Berths and Marine Civils
  • Utilities
  • Building Services and Building Fabric

 

The event will take the form of a presentation and discussion outlining the pipeline of work and the Board’s current thinking, the anticipated procurement process, general discussion, and requests for information. The event will also provide an opportunity to network with others suppliers.

The Port of Dover will use the opportunity to gather intelligence from attendees to help inform and shape the development of the final procurement model.

Current estimated contract start date is 1 January 2026 with an estimated contract end date of 1 January 2030.
