Thames Water tenders £72 million contract for Slough STW Quality AMP 7 New Permit

Thames Water has gone out to tender with a contract for construction work related to a new AMP 7 permit for its Slough Sewage Treatment Works worth an estimated £72 million.

The project includes the following packages of work:

  • new chemical storage and dosing system to aid Phosphorus removal
  • new pre-aeration primary tank supernatant and RAS mixing and distribution chamber
  • new activated sludge aeration lane that matches existing with two new 35 m diameter final
  • settlement tanks and RAS system
  • new Tertiary Solids Removal treatment stage
  • new standby power facility
  • new centrate storage tank and pump system to return centrate for treatment
  • new Picket Fence Thickener to operate in parallel to two existing units
  • new liquor return pump station to return site liquors for treatment

 

Contract term is 60 months - all suppliers who want to respond to the contract notice must request a pre-qualification questionnaire (PQQ). The client may be Thames Water Utilities Ltd or another company within the Kemble Water group structure
