Publicly owned Yorkshire Purchasing Organisation (YPO ) has gone out to tender with a major DPS framework contract for the provision of civil engineering works and services worth an estimated £500 million.
Founded by 13 local authorities, the publicly owned company provides a wide range of products and services to public sector organizations including:
- educational establishments including schools, colleges and universities
- local authorities and councils
- registered charities
- police, fire and rescue, maritime and coastguard agency emergency services
- NHS bodies, the HSC (Northern Ireland) and ambulance services
YPO are looking for providers to be appointed onto a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for the provision of Civil Engineering Works and Services and seeking to appoint providers who provide one or more of the following services for survey, design, supply, project management, installation and/or maintenance in a number of categories.the contract is bewing tendered in the following Lots:
- Lot 1 - Road & Highway Infrastructure
- Lot 2 - Rail Transport infrastructure
- Lot 3 - Stormwater, Flood, Coastal & River Protection management
- Lot 4 - Renewable energies
- Lot 5 - Solar
- Lot 6 - Air Transport Infrastructure
- Lot 7 - Water and Utilities
- Lot 8 - Geotechnical and land maintenance (Inc Surveying & Ground investigation)
The DPS is designed to meet the needs of all public sector organisations which includes YPO’s internal requirements and any of YPO’s wholly owned associated or subsidiary companies.
Start date for the DPS is 16 October 2024 with an end date of 28 October 2028 - with a possible option for further renewal after 3.5 years from the commencement date.”
The first deadline for submissions (01/10/2024 at 12:00 pm) is only applicable to the initial establishment/first round of the DPS. Following the initial establishment, the DPS will remain open for any suppliers to submit a bid at any point until the closing date of 28 October 2028 for the DPS.
