North and Mid Wales Trunk Road Agent (NMWTRA) has awarded a contract for drainage surveys on the North and Mid Wales Trunk Road worth an estimated £1 million.

Services to be provided under the contract include:

• All assets condition and connectivity survey
• Validation survey
• Priority Asset Survey
• Filter drain condition survey by GPR
• Pipework and chambers defect survey by CCTV
• Pipework geometric survey by laser profiler
• Pipework inclination survey by CCTV
• Ditch defect and profile survey
• Pipework indicative condition by acoustic survey
• Chambers defect and geometric survey by laser scanner

Three companies have been awarded framework agreement contracts - DDC Engineering Solutions Ltd, Severn Partnership Ltd and Lanes Group PLC.

NMWTRA is responsible for managing, maintaining and improving the strategic major A trunk on behalf of the Welsh Government.

The organisation operates on a partnership basis between the Unitary Local Authorities of North and Mid Wales with Gwynedd Council acting as the Lead Authority for the Partnership.
