Natural Resources Wales (NRW) has gone out to tender with a framework contract for supervision, contract management and project management services to deliver projects for a number of portfolios, including flood risk management, water resources and reservoir compliance.

The environmental regulator for Wales is looking to put a framework in place that will facilitate the purchase of additional services that have been identified through continual improvement of the service requirements.
NRW undertakes a diverse range of civil engineering works across its various functions. This framework is required to ensure continued access to Supervision, Contract Management and Project Management resource to deliver projects and carry out essential services on a range of activities, including:
- Flood risk management capital schemes and capital maintenance/repair of flood defence structures on main rivers and coastal areas
- Reservoirs Act (1975) compliance projects
- Hydrometric and telemetry assets construction and capital maintenance/repair
- Habitat management and creation and environmental land and water remediation
- Fish passage improvements
- Major estates infrastructure (e.g. bridges).
NRW is looking to appoint up to three suppliers to the framework, which will run for a four year term.
Under the terms of the contract the successful supplier(s) will be required to deliver Community Benefits in support of the authority’s economic and social objectives.
