Liverpool City Region Combined Authority tenders £250,000 contract for GIS (Geographic Information System) platform

Liverpool City Region Combined Authority has gone out to tender with a contract for a GIS (Geographic Information System) platform with an estimated value of £250,000 (exc VAT).

LIVERPOOL CITY COUNCIL COMBINED AUTHORITY

The Liverpool City Region Combined Authority (LCRCA) brings together Liverpool City Region’s six local authorities – Halton, Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton, St Helens and Wirral.

In 2023 was by The Government granted new powers in 2023 for the LCRCA to identify and map out areas for potential biodiversity net gain (BNG) across the City Region under the new Local Nature Recovery Strategy (LNRS).

One of the obligations of the new powers was to host a publicly accessible, online map of sites relevant to the LNRS - the current Spectrum Spatial Location Intelligence solution expires in September 2025.

The LCRCA is now seeking a new hosted GIS (Geographic Information System) platform as a replacement solution to be in place post-September.

The contract for the new solution will be awarded for a period of 5 years – estimated contract dates are 14 July 2025 to 13 July 2030.

Deadline for enquiries about the contract is 12:00pm on 1 May 2025 and tender submission deadline is 11:00am on 15 May 2025.
