Ofwat awards consultancy contract for research and strategy work on Water Efficiency Campaign

Ofwat has awarded a consultancy contract for research and strategy work on its Water Efficiency Campaign, ahead of its upcoming launch event on 10 July for suppliers hear about Ofwat’s vision for the campaign, meet Ofwat's marketing team, explore opportunities to get involved, and connect with others across the industry and water/ utilities sector.

OFWAT WATER EFFICIENCY FUND STREAMS

The Water Efficiency Campaign (WEC) will be a national behaviour change campaign to improve water efficiency across England and Wales, backed by a confirmed budget of up to £75 million over five years.

The WEC has a leadership role in driving water efficiency over the long term and will act as a 'centre of excellence'. To accelerate this role the appointed supplier will undertake a research and strategy process starting in the summer. Current contract start and end dates are 16 June 2025 to 15 December 2025 with a further possible extension option to 15 March 2026.

Dorchester-based consultancy Different Drum Consulting, who work with clients on developing evidence-based social impact strategy, have been awarded the research and strategy contract.
