The water company sought initial input from the market in August 2025 – Severn Trent is continuing the market engagement and has identified the need for additional information to ensure that the proposed dryer locations have adequate space and supporting infrastructure. The utility is now looking to gather further technical and ancillary details to inform its strategic planning and site preparation considerations.

Severn Trent is inviting potential suppliers to review the updated questionnaire and provide responses - the responses will be used for strategic planning only and will not form part of any future evaluation.

Issues covered in the questionnaire include:

  • Dryer sizing for evaporation rates
  • Sludge cake transfer method
  • Loading
  • Heat source temp
  • Exhaust air flow rate
  • Condensate flow rate

Interested suppliers are asked to submit completed questionnaires by Wednesday 12th November 2025.

When the company eventually goes out to tender, estimated start and end contract dates are currently 30 April 2026 to 30 April 2027.
