NI Water tenders c£4.13 million contract for supply, delivery and/or installation, calibration, maintenance and repair of equipment for Science Centres

Northern Ireland Water has gone out to tender with a framework contract for supply, delivery and/or installation, calibration, maintenance and repair of equipment for its Science Centres with an estimated total value of c£4,13 million (inc VAT).

The framework will be used for the purchase of replacement equipment, BAU requirements and the supply of equipment for the water company’s new Science Centres, including consumables, spare parts, maintenance, calibration, installation, repair and servicing of such equipment where required.

The framework may also be used for the purchase of consumables, spare parts, maintenance, calibration, repair and servicing of existing laboratory equipment where required.

In addition, NI Water's Customer Service Delivery Directorate may also utilise the framework for the purchase of sampling, field work and related operational equipment. The Framework is being tendered in the following 9 Lots which cover supply, delivery, installation and/or service, calibration, maintenance and repair for:-

  • Lot 1 - General Laboratory
  • Lot 2 - Autoclaves/Agarclaves
  • Lot 3 - Automation/Robotics
  • Lot 4 - Inorganic Metals
  • Lot 5 - Chromatography
  • Lot 6 - Benchtop Instrumentation
  • Lot 7 - Bacteriological Equipment
  • Lot 8 - Cryptosporidium
  • Lot 9 - Innovation/Miscellaneous

 

Current estimated start and end contract dates are 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2031 with further possible extension options to 31 March 2033.

All estimated Lot values are £458,800 (inc VAT) – the same value for each Lot.

Deadline for submission of enquiries about the framework is 11:59pm on 3 February 2026 and deadline for requests to participate is 11:59pm on 10 February 2026.
