Thames Water awards £6 million AMP8 contract for debt management system replacement

Thames Water has awarded an AMP8 contract for debt management system replacement with an estimated value of £6 million (inc VAT).

THAMES WATER VAN LONDON SKYLINE

The water company went out to tender in July 2025 to put an agreement in place for a new debt management SaaS solution, as well as the implementation and system integration work associated with it.

Thames Water said at the time of tender that software providers may want to submit a bid in collaboration with a System Integrator. However, it specified that the company expected to sign one contract upon completion of the tender exercise under which the supplier would take accountability for the provision of the software licenses and the successful implementation of the system within Thames Water.

Thames Water has awarded the contract to Weybridge-based firm QUALCO UK Ltd – the technology company delivers panel management software and solutions into the credit industry offering two core products:

ExtraCollect – a SaaS platform enabling clients to fully manage a panel of outsourced partners, including: DCAs, Solicitors & Debt Management Providers. The software includes advanced analytics, intelligent segmentation, reconciliation, invoicing, query management and visibility of account level, end-to-end customer journeys. It is highly secure and fully scalable.

Togglit – a financial wellness application designed to support those in financial difficulty by providing access to a range of tools, including: benefits calculator, budgeting tool, affordability assessments and more.

Following conclusion of the standstill period on 28 January 2026, earliest date the contract will be signed is 2 February 2026. Current start and end estimated contract dates are16 February 2026 to 16 February 2029, with further possible extension options up to 16 February 2031.
