The Mining Remediation Authority (MRA) is undertaking preliminary market engagement in advance of a future procurement for a replacement Ground Stabilisation Works by Drilling and Grouting Framework.

The framework is expected to support ground stabilisation and remediation activities across England, Scotland and Wales, including drilling, pressure grouting, void filling, mine workings stabilisation and associated site investigation works.

The MRA welcomes participation from organisations with experience in delivering ground investigation works, drilling and grouting works, and associated specialist services.

MRA is now seeking feedback from organisations with relevant experience to help inform the procurement strategy, framework structure and commercial arrangements for the future framework.

Current estimated start and end contract dates are 1 March 2028 to 29 February 2032. Estimated publication date of a formal tender notice is currently 1 February 2027.

Participation in this engagement is voluntary and will not provide any supplier with an advantage in any future procurement process.

Suppliers are invited to complete a preliminary market engagement questionnaire via the InBye portal by 10:00am on Friday 4 September 2026. Suppliers not already on the portal will need to first register with InBye to access the questionnaire.
