Anglian Water has gone out to tender with a £65 million contract for the supply of basic inorganic and organic chemicals covering the 2015-20 AMP6 investment period and beyond.
The contract, which will run for up to eight years with extension options, covers the following:
Chemical groups (lots)
Lot 1 – Industrial Gases
Lot 2 – Odour Control
Lot 3 – Disinfectants & Oxidants
Lot 4 – Neutralisers
Lot 5 – Salts
Lot 6 – Flocculants
Lot 7 – Coagulants (Iron Salts)
Lot 8 – Reagents & Standards
Lot 9 – Chlorine
Lot 10 – Orthophosphoric Acid
Timescales for the contract process are:
- RFI issue - June / July 2014
- 2 Waves Approach to RFP & Framework Award
- Phase 1 Award - by Early October 2014
- Phase 2 Award - by 1 April 2015
The final "approved list" will support collaboration to reduce management consumption.
Starting date for contracts is 1.4.2015, with a completion date of 31.3.2023 if the extension options are exercised.
