The final stage of a £400,000 scheme by Anglian Water to reduce the risk of flooding Skegness got underway earlier this week .
The work by the water company began last year and has seen a large capacity storage tank constructed - the final stage will see the last few metres of pipe being laid to join the existing network to the new tank.
Antony Innes, from Anglian Water, said:
“This two month long project has been designed to alleviate flooding in this part of Skegness, where residents have suffered in the past."
“Work to build the 42,000 litre tank was completed last year, with attention now turning to installing the last section of pipe.”
