The Institution of Civil Engineers upcoming keynote conference ICE Flooding 2015 will take an in-depth look at at how far the UK has come in terms of sustainable flood risk management and what is being done to ensure long term planning to protect business, infrastructure and residents.
In the third event in the series, around 200 engineers, contractors, local authorities and Government will come together on 13 May in London to explore the issues.
Chaired by ICE’s President David Balmforth and Jean Venables CBE, Chief Executive of ADA and former ICE President, the programme includes speakers from the Environment Agency, Network Rail, UK Rainwater Management Association, Nottingham City Council and Southwark Council.

- Latest on strategy for flood defence from the Environment Agency
- Options for building and local level flood protection
- Climate change predictions and data
- Avoiding future floods and droughts
- Lead Local Flooding Authority (LLFA) responsibilities
