Water sector accelerates move to smart networks

With a move to smart networks accelerating water in the water sector, hear leading experts discuss the challenges facing water utilities and how the industry is turning to smart networks to boost customer service and ensure supply meets demand.

In a video recorded at last week’s SWAN Conference in London, Joel Hagan, the CEO of i2O, Rik Thijssen of Vitens, David Robinson at Veolia and Aurélie Chazerain from Suez Environnement put forward their views on what constitutes a smart water network.

The move to smart water networks is accelerating in the water industry because it allows utilities to address their major challenges, extend asset life in the network, reduce operating costs and deliver better customer service without the high cost of building new supply infrastructure.

The topic is gaining an ever- increasing amount of interest - almost 200 water industry delegates from around the world attended the SWAN Conference last week, its biggest ever turn out.
