The presentation will highlight having provided over 1400 solutions for the screening of CSOs & Stormwater Overflows since screens became widely utilised as a solution to reduce aesthetic pollution, we’re well prepared to continue the work necessary to meet the unprecedented demand for screens that’s forecast in AMP8.

Dale Foster explains:

"As a departure from the afore mentioned norm, in this presentation we’ll highlight some interesting work we’ve done to treat Stormwater at WwTW’s (PFET) utilising a combination of products.

These products should provide well needed treatment options when it’s not possible to deal with increased Stormwater volumes by using other techniques thus adding to the tool box required in this arena.

We’ll provide trial data and a case study to illustrate the possibilities these products offer to utilise existing assets, thereby providing opportunities to reduce the need for building new infrastructure.

We will also show how the performance of nature based solutions that should play a crucial part in this area can be enhanced to increase the opportunity for the use of greener solutions.

Although we understand treating Stormwater at WwTWs isn’t the first choice solution it surely has a part to play in addressing the phenomenal challenges we all face in the future."
