Sulzer has launched a new global Center of Excellence (CoE) for Water Treatment Solutions - the CoE consolidates Sulzer’s wastewater treatment expertise in a unified and global manner.

Sulzer says that with this strategic step, the company is strengthening its leading role in addressing global challenges in water management, enabling municipalities and essential industries to execute their projects more easily and efficiently and to set up their operational processes reliably, in compliance with regulations, and sustainably.
An integrated platform for maximum impact
The CoE brings together Sulzer’s expertise in wastewater treatment and combines state-of-the-art engineering competence, in-depth process knowledge, and a comprehensive technology portfolio - from screening and sedimentation to filtration and flotation.
By consolidating the strengths of Sulzer’s brands including Nordic Water, FRC Systems, IPEC, JWC Screens, Owatec, and Probig, the company says it has created a powerful, end-to-end offering that minimizes complexity, reduces risk, and optimizes lifecycle costs for customers.
Global expertise, local implementation
The CoE will serve as a global competence center for technology development, solution design, and knowledge transfer, ensuring the highest quality worldwide and that customers benefit from tailor-made solutions from a single source, aligned with their individual process requirements. The combination of centralized engineering and regional implementation teams will accelerate projects and deliver reliable, predictable results, Sulzer says.
In addition, the CoE will drive innovation in tackling new challenges, including the removal of micropollutants, PFAS (‘forever chemicals’), as well as solutions for water reuse. This will help Sulzer support its customers in meeting strict regulatory requirements and ambitious sustainability goals.
Mathias Pruessing, Division President Flow at Sulzer commented:
