Ant Hire meets the rising demand for Lateral Cutting Robots

The private sewers transfer was the biggest change in the UK Water Industry when the transfer of ownership and responsibility was passed to the water companies. Since the transfer Ant Hire has seen an increase in demand for lateral cutting robots. 181-micro_comfort_front1-en1_copy

With customers from the civil engineering and drainage industry Ant Hire looked to supply high quality cutters to the UK market. Teaming up with IMS Robotics, a leading supplier who has been designing and manufacturing cutters for more than 15 years, has proven to be a successful decision.

More contractors now seem to be looking at lining work and need cutters that are easy to use, cost effective and have the versatility to cope with the demands of the job.

Introducing the Micro Comfort Cutter for 80-225mm diameter pipes that has the ability to pass through 90 degree bends and climb vertical down pipes and the Micro Drive for 150-400mm pipes, a powerful cutter designed to make small and main line sewers more accessible into their hire fleet, has now given contractors an additional option to purchasing a system.158-micro_drive-en_copy

“Offering the hire of the cutters has allowed our customers to take on work without having to assign large amounts of capital and also allows them the chance to try the systems in a live environment before purchasing,” says John Rose Ant Hire’s Technical Sales Representative.

Ant Hire offers demonstrations of both the Micro Comfort and Micro Drive to anyone interested in finding out more about the systems.
