Scottish Water is setting out plans for a £5 million investment in works in the the Holy Loch and Firth of Clyde.

The planned work will see a number of septic tanks being installed to ensure waste water collected from homes and businesses in the area is treated to a high standard, helping to protect coastal waters.

The water company said the work will enable compliance with strict water quality standards, while protecting and enhancing the environment.

The improvement work is being carried out by Scottish Water Alliance Partners amey Black & Veatch, aBV joint venture.

The water company is holding three information events in Argyll and Bute next week where the Project Team will be on hand to answer any questions about the works.
