Grontmij: Sweco UK rebrand sees successful year of major project wins

Leading engineering, environment and design consultancy Sweco UK is celebrating a successful 12 months since its rebrand from Grontmij in April last year.

In the UK, Sweco employs 800 people and has particular expertise in the fields of energy, transportation, environment, asset management, sustainable buildings and water.

Sweco UK managing director, Max Joy, said:

“Rebranding to Sweco has enabled us to plan for sustainable, profitable growth.  We had strong, positive momentum from day one of the rebrand and our teams have thrived upon the new and exciting opportunities that this brings.”

The consultancy has secured a significant number of high value multi-disciplinary projects since the rebrand.  These include the transportation team being appointed as a design partner for the delivery of improved facilities across British Antarctic Survey research stations in the Antarctic over the next seven years.

In December 2016, Sweco’s water and asset management team was appointed by Irish Water to assist them with the delivery of a broad-ranging modernisation project relating to their real time systems, data and analytics capabilities.
