NI Water is progressing work on an essential new water pipeline to increase the resilience and robustness of the water supply network in Enniskillen - the major water improvement project will benefit customers in the wider Enniskillen area.

The water company has completed over 60% of the pipeline to date, with over 2.8km of pipeline installed along the Thomastown Road and the Ballylucas Road, Enniskillen.
Further work on the scheme, which will be carried out in sections by NI Water’s contractor Farrans , is now scheduled to get underway on 17th July for approximately 18 weeks.
Eimear McDaid, NI Water Project Manager said:
“We are pleased to announce that this major Water Improvement Project, which will greatly benefit customers in the wider Enniskillen area, is progressing well.
“The project will improve the robustness and resilience of the local water supply infrastructure, which will be particularly important during the winter months and other unplanned events, such as a water supply interruption, to ensure maximum security of supply for our customers in the local area.”
