Tees Valley Combined Authority and Teesside International Airport have awarded a contract for the Net Zero Teesside Water Network worth an estimated £12 million (ex VAT).
The Group is formed of the Tees Valley Combined Authority itself, alongside Teesside Airport, Hartlepool and Middlesbrough Development Corporations and the South Tees Development Corporation.
The Net Zero Teesside project is currently under construction at the former Redcar steelworks.
Durham-based Rainton Construction has been awarded the contract, one of four companies in the bidding for the work.
The award-winning specialist civil engineering firm is part of the MGL Group one of the North of England’s largest privately-owned construction companies.
