Wessex Water has published its latest results for the financial year ended 31st March 2010.

Scottish Water was fined £12,000 was yesterday after they failed to comply with their licence to discharge sewage effluent into the Torry burn.

The sixth largest water company in England and Wales, Dwr Cymru Welsh Water, has taken a top prize at this year’s prestigious Business Commitment to the Environment (BCE) Environmental Leadership Awards for developing the first successful commercial application of ultraviolet (UV) disinfection technology to treat poor quality sewage.

Northumbrian Water Group has published its latest annual results for the year ended 31 March 2010. The company said the Group was in a good position to continue to maintain sound financial performance, with funding in place to meet its operational and capital investment requirements through to the end of 2011.

United Utilities has finally fixed the problems which caused a series of supply failures on the Wirral over the past week.

Wessex Water is making progress with a number of new schemes.

Thames Water has opened mainland UK's first-ever desalination plant to provide "seriously water-stressed" London with a much-needed back-up supply to use in the event of a drought.

Anglian Water has published its financial results for the year ended 31 March 2010.

Yorkshire Water has started work on an £18 million scheme to replace ageing underground water pipes in Leeds.

United Utilities Water PLC have been fined £12,000 at Halton Magistrates’ Court for allowing untreated sewage to enter Springfield Brook, Warrington.
